With ample notice, SMARTWorks can assist waste reduction at events across Jackson County.
How does SMARTWorks help events to reduce waste?
- Works with event organizers to identify opportunities for waste reduction
- Advises on equipment, materials, and logistics to implement waste diversion strategies
- Trains staff and helps develop signage to make the program a success
- Provides fliers and support documents to teach vendors, exhibitors, and guests about the program
Is there staff or equipment available to make event recycling a success?
- Yes, for some events (depending on timing and availability), Master Recycler volunteers may be assigned to help with recycling and waste diversion at your event
- For some events, recycling bins are available for loan or rent.
